Saccades (the solo project of The KVB’s Nicholas Wood) is today sharing a new EP made of remixes of tracks from his latest album ‘Flowing Fades’. Originally released in April this year via Fuzz Club Records, the escapist psychedelic synth-pop of ‘Flowing Fades’ – the Manchester-based artist’s second solo album under the Saccades moniker – is reimagined here by the likes of Peaking Lights, Theo Kottis, The KVB and Modri. The album was highly supported by the likes of BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Rough Trade, Under The Radar Magazine, Louder Than War and more, and these new remix versions arrive ahead of Saccades’ first UK tour-dates in support of the new LP.
‘Heat’ already saw Saccades’ breezy psych-pop infused with a euphoric house energy but Scottish DJ and producer Theo Kottis turns the track into something even more electrifying and hedonistic on his remix. Elsewhere, Amsterdam via Los Angeles duo Peaking Lights (Dekmantel / Mexican Summer) transform ‘Lady Blue’ into a spaced-out hypnotic dub and Modri (Skint Records / BMG) rewires title-track ‘Flowing Fades’ as a club-ready Italo disco banger. The ‘Flowing Fades Remixes’ EP also includes two remixes from The KVB, the Invada Records-signed duo that Wood makes up one half of alongside his wife Kat Day. Their remix of ‘Islands Past’ gives the track’s blissed-out, languid psychedelia a more tropical and sun-kissed feel that’s perfect for a long, lazy summer night, whilst ‘Like Everyday’ is reworked to channel a deep house via new wave sound.

Haunting, beautiful, sexy, and danceable. It's everything you want in an album from them.
